Is Life Coaching A Therapy?

Life coaching may be similar to therapy or counseling, but there is a profound distinction between these two. Here are some of the relevant differences:

-People who goes to a therapist or a counselor, have problems that they want solved. A person who goes to a life coach has goals or dreams that he/she wants to achieve.

-Therapy is more about resolving the past. Life coaching is more about dealing with the present and the future.

-A therapist helps people with mental illness or dysfunctions while a life coach will help able people become even more successful.

There may be distinctions but there are also a few exceptions. There are some similarities, too, like the solution focused therapy. This method intends to provide the client with a big picture on how to deal with the present and the future, just like with life coaching.

We may be the experts of our lives. We know more about who we are, what we want and where we are headed. But sometimes, even we, the expert, do not recognize what it is that is best for us. We should be able to acknowledge the need for a professional life coach. They are the better experts. They will help you discover that you can be the best that you have always dreamed of. But life coaching will only have powerful and successful results if these three (3) factors are present:

– An intent desire to be able to develop your potential to the fullest;

– A big gap between your current status, where you are, and your intended future, where you want to be; and

– You are willing to cooperate and take action and ready to take responsibility with the results that you are going to achieve.

So don’t just dream, because you can truly have a more fulfilling, better and richer life if you seek the help of a life coach!

Men: A Tip for Your Next Date

11681496_sWhen it comes to dating, the truth is that there are just so many pieces of advice, tips, tricks, and strategies out there. That said, as a man looking to get into a healthy relationship or simply end the date night with success, how do you know which ones are worth following? If this is the question at the back of your head, good luck as you have come to the right place.

First things first, let us talk about one very underestimated trait that women just love. We are talking about authenticity. Authenticity, legitimacy, genuineness, keeping it real. Call it what you want to, but there is no denying that women cannot resist a man who has it. This is really not surprising considering all of the in-authenticity that is out there right now.

But how exactly can you show a woman that you are in fact, authentic? Well, to start off, you need to be completely transparent. This means that you need to be honest about your faults, your thoughts, your opinions, your job, your family, background, etc. And this does not mean that there is no longer any room for mystery to stay interesting. It just means that you are showing who you are truly are and laying things out on the table.

The next thing quite frankly that I suggest you do is to study up on your intimacy skills. It doesn’t matter whether you are a virgin or you think that you have all of the sexual experience in the world, you can always get better. This is why a training program like Gabrielle Moore’s Naked U is such a godsend for so many guys. You see inside the Naked U program you can learn all about the best ways to please a woman in bed and get her totally crazy about you. And because the Naked University is taught by beautiful models, the videos are actually a lot of fun to watch. More details on the program are available in this Naked U review.

See, dating can be simple and fun when you stick to the basics and stop trying to get all fancy. Just show her that you are an authentic guy, and then treat her right and make her happy in an intimate kind of way, and that’s just about all that there is to it!

What is Life Coaching, Anyway?

Getting a life coach is the new rage today. It is one of the fast-rising careers according to business reviews and is one of the professions that reached an annual income of $1 billion. More and more people, mostly executives, are getting the services of a life coach in order to propel their careers into a more fulfilling, better and richer one.

So What Is A Life Coach?

A life coach is a trained professional, who is generally a mentor. It helps a client in setting and achieving their personal goals. It aims to work and address one’s aspirations, projects, successes or a personal transition in their life or relationships. A life coach would begin by examining the person’s current status and try to discover the challenges and obstacles that are hindering the person from achieving those goals. There is a session intended just for listening intently to the client and making queries in order to get a clear picture of what the client wants to achieve. Then, the coach would now determine a course of action to drive the person into the life that they want. Coach and client would begin their partnership by working together and setting up a system and a structure to move towards that goal.

Although it is now considered a profession, life coaches don’t call their clients as such. Most life coaches would prefer to call it a partnership. Life coaching is an art of designing an alliance to give you the power, the power of being able to provide yourself with answers to every question that you have in life. Though the answers may seem obscure, a life coach will be able to give you the missing given to your equation.

What Does It Take To Become A Life Coach

To become a life coach, you need a certification from a professional school that is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). ICF is an international organization that sets the standards of professional coaching, practices, training and ethics. It also takes charge in monitoring and regulating these standards. Before one can be qualified to apply for the certification, there is a 300-hr requirement of rigorous training, plus 100 hours of live or face-to-face training sessions. There is a separate training for telephone conversations and live coach mentoring. With the live training, the potential life coach will have a firsthand experience of coaching sessions. This is essentially helpful so that they will have a full grasp of the fundamentals. With this certification, clients are assured that they are really dealing with professionals who possess the skills and training.

Becoming a life coach requires having personal integrity. You also need a vast experience of reaching your own personal goals, for how can you coach and mentor someone when you yourself are having a personal fiasco? Being a life coach may seem an effortless job, but it really is not that easy. It is a demanding career of helping people achieve their personal goals. It requires an enormous amount of communication skills that goes way beyond just listening. It does not only need a bachelor’s degree but a master’s degree with specialized training, too. You need to have the skills to ask the right questions to your clients and be able to empower them to find the right answers themselves. A life coach needs to be able to provoke positive thoughts in a creative manner and help their clients make the right choices in order to move towards an effective, better and more fulfilling life.
